Year 7 Science Club

Our fantastic Year 7 Science students have been building and painting their volcanoes over the last couple of weeks which erupted last week at Science Club.

Firstly they built their volcanoes, using old bottles and paper mache. The following week they had great fun, painting their volcanoes; some of them in very bright colours, as you can see from the photos.

Finally, the students reacted sodium bicarbonate with vinegar (containing ethanoic acid) to create the eruption! 

The students really enjoyed this project and were so excited to see the "volcanic" eruptions! Well done to all and thanks to Year 10 Science Helpers as well.
