National Poetry Day - Poet Visit

Students at Windsor had a special visit today from alumna and poet, Nellie Cole, for a special creative writing session in celebration of National Poetry Day.

The first sessions were with Year 7 students who were really engaged and created reflective poems using objects.  

Nellie then held a session with a group of Year 13 students, who produced their own thoughtful poetry and had the opportunity to ask questions and hear Nellie's experience about getting published and a career in the arts.

Students continued to celebrate National Poetry Day at lunchtime by creating some fantastic blackout poetry - well done to all students who took part and thank you to Nellie for the great sessions!
