Face Masks in School

20th November 2020 – Tags: Covid-19

The wearing of face masks for students in corridors and communal areas in school is now required. Anyone who is exempt should now have been provided a lanyard to indicate this is the case which should be with them at all times. Students who are not wearing face masks and do not have an exemption lanyard can expect to be questioned by staff.

This also includes wearing of face masks outside at break and lunch where social distancing is not possible.

Please assist your child with their planning for the day and ensure that a face mask is part of this. Where possible students should have a reusable face mask and a resealable plastic bag (or container) to keep the face covering in when it is not in use i.e. when students are in lessons.

Reusable and single-use face coverings are available to buy in shops or online.

Parents/carers of those who are exempt should write a note to this effect in their child’s planner. Your support with this is appreciated.
