On Friday 20th May, Year 7 celebrated World Bee Day by creating wonderful origami bees and fact files to explore the importance of bees to our ecosystem. This builds on their work exploring the book Where the River Runs Gold by Sita Brahmachari, which is set in a dystopian caste-divided world where the bees have disappeared and children are now forced to pollinate the crops.
One student, Imogen, created this wonderful poster to celebrate World Bee Day and raise awareness - a fantastic job!
The students demonstrated excellent creativity, empathy and responsibility through discussion, drawing and reading. Well done Year 7!
