Windsor High School Student Leaders Help Shape the Future During WAT Student Leadership Summit at Worcester Summit

We are incredibly proud of our nine student representatives from Years 7 to 10 who recently represented Windsor High School at the Personal Potential Trust Student Leadership Summit, held at the University of Worcester on 24–25 June.

Joining student leaders from across the Trust, our students worked alongside senior leaders to explore how student leadership can continue to develop across all Trust schools while celebrating the unique strengths of each individual school community.

The summit focused on the Trust's new enrichment framework, built around five key areas: Arts, Sport, Life Skills, Civic Engagement, Outdoors and Learning. Through a range of engaging workshops, discussions and collaborative activities, students reflected on the leadership opportunities already available at Windsor High School and shared their ideas about how student leadership can have an even greater impact in the future.

Throughout the two-day event, our students demonstrated maturity, enthusiasm and a genuine commitment to making a difference. They explored what makes an effective leader, recognising that successful leadership is about working together, valuing different perspectives and using everyone's strengths to achieve shared goals. Their thoughtful contributions helped shape discussions about how young people can drive positive change within their schools and wider communities.

The residential also included a range of exciting land- and water-based activities at Lakeside, where students challenged themselves, developed their teamwork and communication skills, built resilience and formed new friendships with students from across the Trust.

The summit was attended by Personal Potential Trust CEO Dawn Haywood and Trust Lead for Personal Potential Steve Lanckham, who listened carefully to students' ideas and aspirations.

We are extremely proud of how our nine representatives conducted themselves throughout the summit. They were outstanding ambassadors for Windsor High School, embracing every opportunity with confidence, respect and determination. We look forward to seeing how they use the knowledge, skills and ideas gained from the summit to further strengthen student leadership within our school community.
