Windsor High School and Sixth Form has today launched its’ trailblazing iPads for Learning scheme with this year’s Year 7 cohort.
As part of the scheme, students have been provided with an iPad that will enable them to power up their learning both in school and at home in what has proved to be a highly successful initiative across Windsor Academy Trust. The scheme enables teachers to utilise cutting edge digital teaching and learning strategies to deliver our outstanding curriculum in the best possible way. WAT IT Teaching and Learning Lead Michelle Nugent said,
“It is always great to see the excitement students have when they first get to open their iPads. iPads for learning is the embodiment of our ASPIRE principles; students are communicating clearly in their groups, collaborating and supporting others and have already begun thinking of ways they can be creative with their learning in the lessons. We can't wait to see the amazing work the new years 7's will produce with their device.”
As part of the launch, students honed their skills in utilising basic iPad functions with their form tutors before embarking on their digital learning journey across the curriculum in lessons through the day.
Delighted student Nyla expressed his gratitude, "Thank you for making this happen. I am over the moon and excited to get an iPad and it will be useful for my learning as well as making learning more fun."
