Students at Windsor High School and Sixth Form in Halesowen Celebrate Post-16 Results

Sixth Form students from Windsor High School and Sixth Form are celebrating after receiving their A Level and vocational results today.

The school, which is located on Richmond Street in Halesowen and part of Windsor Academy Trust, is pleased to announce another set of strong results achieved by its students.

Standout individual achievements include:

Harrison Ward has successfully achieved 4 A*s in Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Further Maths and will go on to study Aerospace Engineering at The University of Birmingham
Tom Hemmings has successfully achieved Grades A*, A, A in Further Maths, Maths and Chemistry and has secured a place to study Chemistry at The University of Oxford.
Nasma Abdo has achieved Grades A*, A, A in Biology, Chemistry and Maths and will go on to study Medicine at The University of Birmingham.
Emily Bowering has achieved Grades A*, A*, A in Sociology, Psychology and Religious Studies.

Collecting A Level results today,

Nasma said I’ve been at Windsor High School for 7 years. I can’t thank the staff enough for the support they have given me over the years here. Without them I wouldn’t have been able to achieve my amazing results.

Emily said I am really proud of my results and the work I put in both at school and at home. My 2 A*s and As have allowed me to go to University of Birmingham and study Law.

Tom said I’m off to Oxford to study Chemistry with my 2 A* and A. I couldn’t have done it without the support of my teachers and the opportunities offered to me throughout my time here at Windsor.

Kelsie said I really was not expecting the grades I achieved. I worked so hard during year 12 and 13 to achieve them. I read a quote the other day: “Things take time - just enjoy where you are now.” It’s all about progression and hard work to get where you are.

Deborah said I was planning on being upset when I opened my results, however I couldn’t be happier. I couldn’t have done it without the support of the teachers at Windsor High School and Sixth Form.

Students are now looking forward to progressing onto their chosen universities, exciting apprenticeships and employment at leading organisations across the region.

Windsor Sixth Form achieved 70 grades at A*-A. Notably 45 % of all Chemistry grades were at A* - A and over a third of all A Level subjects have over 50 % of all grades at A* - A grade. In Modern Foreign Languages - Arabic, German, Spanish and Chinese - 100% of grades were grade A and a third of all grades at A* for further Maths. All students should be very proud of their efforts with over a third of students achieving an average grade of a B or higher at A Level. Vocational outcomes remain strong with more than half the students achieving a Distinction or higher in Sport, Business, Music and Health.
