26th November 2025
This year, we hosted an incredibly powerful and moving Remembrance Day house competition, showcasing the talent and heartfelt sentiments of our students. With Mr. Quickly serving as our esteemed judge, we were truly impressed by the compassion and empathy reflected in all of the entries.
After careful consideration, we are thrilled to announce that Ivy, a talented Year 9 student, has claimed the top spot with her poignant poem. Her words resonated deeply with the themes of remembrance and honour, capturing the essence of this important day. Ivy will receive a special prize: a copy of 'Poems from the First World War' to inspire and enjoy.
In addition to Ivy’s remarkable achievement, we also want to recognise our runners-up. Scarlett from Year 7 secured second place, while Edward from Year 8 took home third. Their contributions, along with all other entries, were commendable and showcased the creativity and reflective nature of our students.
As a token of appreciation, all participants will be awarded house points, encouraging everyone to continue expressing their thoughts and feelings through creative outlets. We look forward to more inspiring entries in future competitions and thank everyone who participated for making this event so meaningful.

Remember, Remember, Remember
