Reflections on the BBC Filming at Windsor - 'The Music is Black'

The BBC have been doing a series of content linked to 'The Music is Black', an exhibition at the V&A East Museum in London, showcasing 125 years of Black British music.
I was lucky enough to be chosen after submitting my story about teaching using Stormzy's music. I had the privilege of travelling to London to visit the exhibition and discuss Stormzy's now-famous Glastonbury outfit, the Banksy vest, with the curator. We then had the BBC crew in school to film a lesson, and the final film aired on BBC One on Morning Live on Friday 26th June.
Whilst I filmed a one-to-one interview, students joined us in the afternoon for a lesson focused on Stormzy's song Blinded by Your Grace pt.2. Students gave some incredibly thoughtful responses as they reflected on the lyrics and imagery.

All students involved were a credit to the school with their engagement and enthusiasm. The crew specifically commented on how outstanding and impressive the students were - they really did us proud. The crew also obliged the students by answering their questions about careers in the media, and let them try out the camera equipment! Attached are some photos of the day.
