DofE Students Ready for Adventure

10th February 2026

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award program officially got underway. This year, we are proud to celebrate 110 students who have signed up to challenge themselves across the Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels.

Participants have now successfully completed their eDofE log in logging their award  and are busy working through their individual sections: Volunteering, Physical, and Skills. Our Gold participants are also busy planning their unique Residential placements. It is inspiring to see so many students giving back to the community and developing new talents outside the classroom.

The "Expedition" buzz has truly taken over during our recent training sessions. To prepare for the challenges of the wild, students have been hard at work mastering a wide range of essential outdoor skills, including:

  • Navigation & Route Planning (Mastering maps and compasses)

  • Emergency Procedures (Staying safe in the outdoors)

  • The Countryside Code (Respecting our environment)

  • Food, Nutrition & Stoves (Fueling the journey safely)

  • Kit & Tent Pitching (The art of the perfect campsite)

The energy in these sessions has been incredible. Whether it was the teamwork shown while pitching tents or the problem-solving during route planning, our students have demonstrated fantastic resilience.

Well done to all participants! We look forward to seeing you put these skills into practice on your expeditions very soon.
