10th July 2025
In June, we announced a writing competition for future writers. The theme was inspired by Benjamin Zephaniah’s poem ‘Nature Trail’, encouraging budding writers to submit poems about the environment, the spaces where they spend their time, the impact of nature on their everyday life, and the importance of looking after the planet.
We had a range of excellent entries for this competition inspired by ‘Nature Trail’ and our judges really enjoyed reading the original, thoughtful and creative responses.
We are excited to announce our two winners: KS3 Winner: Alexandra - KS4 Winner: Joseph
All entrants will be awarded house points for their house and a poetry badge. The two winners will also receive a book of Benjamin Zephaniah’s poetry to enjoy!
Congratulations to everyone who participated and a special congratulations to Alexandra and Joseph!
