Character Development Day

26th November 2021

On Thursday 25th November, we held a Character Development Day for students across the school.  Some of the activities that took place were self-defence lessons, mindfulness sessions, and a careers fair for Year 10 students.

Sixth Form students were also given time to create their Unifrog accounts, as well as taking part in a session from motivational speaker Mr Beezy, who speaks to students across the country about resilience and working hard to achieve your goals.

Year 8 students experienced a Duke of Edinburgh Award practical skills day, as part of the Windsor Academy Trust Pledge. They learned navigation skills, team building, learned about nutrition vs weight of food and cooked an expedition meal. They then put the navigation skills into practice on the Clent Hills.

Other activities that took place included performances from Loudmouth Theatre Company, a talk about careers in the police force and sessions on managing money.

Students had a great day with such a wide range of different activities that were both engaging and fun!
